Several years ago, I underwent a hip replacement using one of our own implants a Furlong Evolution. I had complete confidence in the product and my mates in the team that made it.

About me

I joined JRI Orthopaedics in 2012 as Quality Manager and have since taken on roles as Purchasing Manager and Business Unit & International Sales Manager. In 2019, I was honoured to join the Board of Directors, and in 2024, I was appointed Managing Director, leading the company’s continued growth and international expansion.

Before JRI, I built my career in the automotive and aerospace industries, working with global organisations. My experience in these sectors has shaped my approach to leadership and innovation.

Outside of work, my priority is spending quality time with my family. I also enjoy staying active with badminton and tennis.

About me

I lead the Operations Team at JRI Orthopaedics, overseeing Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Business Systems, while also serving as Head of Commercial. Since joining JRI in 2006 as Customer Service Manager, I have gained extensive experience in operations and leadership.

My career began as a Metallurgist with the British Steel Corporation before spending 12 years in Supply Chain Management within the ceramic homewares industry. These experiences have shaped my approach to operational excellence and commercial strategy.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, cycling, and taking part in Sheffield’s local Park runs.

I lead JRI’s international business, which involves identifying new opportunities, developing strong and lasting distributor relationships, and negotiating mutually beneficial partnerships. 

My role involves a fair amount of travel, and one of the most rewarding parts is forming long-standing, genuine friendships with our customers and partners around the world.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. Chess, tennis, reading, and sharing a good glass of wine with my partner and friends are some of the things that keep me balanced and happy.

Taking on the Global Platform Lead role is a fantastic privilege and challenge. I’m very excited to help drive the commercial success and market growth of our incredible 3D printing technology that spans hip, knee and shoulder arthroplasty, within our UK & International markets. We’re in a unique position to manufacture our offering in the UK and I’m looking forward to further enhancing our service to our global partners.

Outside of this, I love scuba-diving and competing in functional fitness events, such as Hyrox or Spartan races. Who knows, maybe an international event could be on the cards?!

I look after JRI’s hip portfolio end to end: shaping product strategy, improving what’s in theatres today, and building what’s next with R&D, Clinical, and RA. I lead go-to-market and day-to-day marketing, and I run product training so teams in the UK and abroad feel supported long after launch. I also get to travel and meet distributors and surgeons—bringing their feedback straight into the plan. Off the clock, my young family keeps me busy, grounded, and happy.

About me

I’m the Marketing Executive who turns plans into experiences. I manage all UK and international exhibition, from stand design and messaging to on-site delivery and coordinate surgeon visits, demos, and site tours to deepen relationships. I also lead educational programmes and campaigns to train customers and partners. Taking pride  in running everything efficiently, professionally, and on time, and I genuinely value working with our surgeons—listening to their challenges, learning from their experience, and making sure our work helps them care for patients.

Outside of work, I spend my time baking, going to the gym, teaching Pilates and looking after my dog, Fred.

I also oversee the technical development of the ICOS (custom-made device) platform, supported by a highly skilled cross-functional team. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the countryside with my loyal companion, Jagger, and the rest of the Twyford family.
